Bruce Schneier suggests "don’t talk to strangers" is bad advice. Case in point, the Utah boy scout lost for the last 4 days saw several strangers, but avoided them, following this advice.
Bruce’s advice – talk to as many strangers as possible when lost. Most of them will be good (most people are good) and will help protect the child from those that aren’t. But if the child remains silent, the bad strangers may pick up on the child’s distress and take advantage of the situation. Seems logical – what do you guys think?
