LUA, Least-priveleged user account – another term for running your account in the User security group rather than the Administrator group, is getting press from eweek. Looks like Microsoft is trying to help developer learn to write LUA aware code. Includes a link to a website with lot’s of information on running as non-admin.
Please, everyone I know – if there is any one thing I’ve seen over the last 3 years that will make your computer use more enjoyable than anything else, it’s running non-admin. I’d much rather try to help you with the cheapest piece of hardware out there than try to fix a machine infested with spyware and rootkits.
